TSA Bill Replaced With Toothless Resolution?: "Thanks to the efforts of Speaker Joe Straus and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst to sabotage a bill that would have specifically banned invasive TSA groping in Texas, the legislation has seemingly been replaced with a toothless resolution that does nothing to reign in the federal agency’s abuse of power and instead merely recommends that Congress takes up the issue at the national level.

Having labeled the original House bill “unenforceable,” Republican Speaker of the House Joe Straus and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who previously helped the federal government torpedo a Senate vote on the first incarnation of the bill, have been busy watering down HB 41 to the point where it now requires a prosecutor to prove any case of TSA wrongdoing."
