Krauthammer on Obama jobs bill: ‘The word ‘cynicism’ is inadequate here’

Krauthammer on Obama jobs bill:

‘The word ‘cynicism’ is inadequate here’: With a GOP-controlled House of Representatives, the prospects of President Barack Obama’s “Americans Jobs Act” making it into law may be slim.

Nevertheless, the Obama administration is adamant with its claim that the proposal is not a political ploy to promote the president’s 2012 re-election bid.

On Monday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer expressed skepticism about that claim. In fact, he called the president cynical and cited the components of the legislation that are centered around the 2012 election.

How does Obama's document stack up against genuine BC?

How does Obama's document stack up against genuine BC?:

A professional typographer with 50 years experience in the business has confirmed that the typeface in an authentic Hawaii Department of Health long-form birth certificate issued in 1961 is consistent, and concludes the document released by the White House as Barack Obama's 1961 birth certificate – with its typeface anomalies – is anything but genuine.

For the analysis to be conclusive, however, Irey wanted to see a known-to-be-authentic birth certificate issued by the Hawaii Department of Health from the Obama era to see if the typeface on this comparison birth certificate was consistent in size and shape – a result Irey felt would demonstrate that an authentic Hawaii Department of Health document was typed by the same typewriter.

A comparison birth certificate appears

The breakthrough making comparative analysis possible came only after a WND reader born in Kapiolani Hospital in Hawaii within about two weeks of Barack Obama's birth voluntarily submitted to WND her own known-to-be-authentic birth certificate for analysis.

Rush Limbaugh puts GOPers on notice:

Refer to Social Security as a criminal enterprise, or else!: During his Monday show, Limbaugh warned the 2012 Republican field not to use Perry's remarks against him. He specifically named Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

"I've not endorsed anybody and this is not an endorsement" Limbaugh said. "But be very careful if you start attacking Rick Perry on Social Security and the 'Ponzi scheme.' There are too many of you out there who have already said that yourselves -- Mitt Romney. Mitt, you have already called it a Ponzi scheme. And worse."

"I've got a whole list of people here - media and outside - in politics who have referred to Social Security as a Ponzi scheme," Limbaugh went on. "And ... I would like to warn everybody: Be careful here because you€™re pandering to the media."

Obama – The Most Happy Fella| The Post & Email

And what have our most seasoned commentators and political writers said about all this?

“Obama doesn’t get it….”

“Obama is nave…”

“Obama is making mistakes…”

“Obama is following a failed Keynesian philosophy….”

Earth to the tiresome echo chamber – both left and right – that has officially abandoned any semblance of objective, probing, and illuminating journalism:

Obama gets it! Obama is not naive. Obama is following an economic philosophy explicitly designed to bankrupt our country and relegate it to banana-republic status.

Those new expressions you see on his face – the faux pout, the pretend seriousness – are just that, faux and pretend.

Except, that is, when he simply can’t contain his glee, as when he recently walked through hurricane-ravaged Paterson, NJ, with a somber Governor Chris Christie, and beamed with a smile more appropriate for a lottery win than the sight of a submerged, destroyed community with its utterly hopeless populace.............................

Are liberals insane? ~ "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder" By: Michael Savage

A basic definition of insanity often attributed to Albert Einstein is doing the same thing, over and over, while expecting different results.

President Obama, by proposing nearly $500 billion more in government spending to "create jobs," demonstrates liberal insanity quite well. Michael Savage has a book out titled, "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder" — I think he's on to something.

True enough, many liberal politicians may know full well that European-style socialism does not work. Sooner or later the well of other people's money runs dry. But, in the meantime, many are content to buy votes by taking wages from one citizen's productivity and distributing them to others.

Still, others actually believe the old liberty-killing ideas of Karl Marx can work. Because of his upbringing and the people he has been drawn to, Mr. Obama likely falls into the category of impulsively believing he can force a better America upon us (and he's certainly not above buying votes with other people's money).

The revolutionary ideas of redistributive justice have caused untold suffering and misery worldwide. But to modern-day liberals, that's irrelevant because they believe we now have a president with the brainpower to finally make forced wealth redistribution work...

Amazing (to me) quote from the Talmud

Amazing (to me) quote from the Talmud:

There are stars whose light only reaches the earth long after they have fallen apart.

There are people whose remembrance gives light in this world, long after they have passed away. This light shines in our darkest nights on the road we must follow.

Someone quoted this to me today. I did some Binging and it seems to really be from the Talmud.

It blows me away that someone could have written this 1500-1800 years ago. Think what you need to know to make that sentence make sense:

You have to know that stars are unimaginably far away. You have to know that stars are not eternal. You have to know that light has a finite speed. None of this was know by western science until less than a hundred years ago. It litterally makes my head spin that a Talmud writer could have had this idea 1500 years ago.

Two of the last three to be located and saved were Port Authority police officers. They were not discovered by a heroic firefighter, or a rescue worker, or a cop. The Founding Father of ‘Collective Responsibility’ by Thomas DiLorenzo

 ~ BLOGGER.GUNNY.G.1984 ~ (BLOG & EMAIL):

…In the autumn of 1862 Confederate snipers were firing at U.S. Navy gunboats on the Mississippi River. Unable to apprehend the combatants, Sherman took revenge on the civilian population by burning the entire town of Randolph, Tennessee to the ground.

In the spring of 1863, after the Confederate Army had evacuated, Sherman ordered the destruction of Jackson, Mississippi. Afterwards, in a letter to Grant Sherman boasted that “The inhabitants are subjugated. They cry aloud for mercy. The land is devastated for 30 miles around.”

Sherman’s troops also destroyed Meridian, Mississippi after Confederate troops were driven out, after which Sherman wrote to Grant: “For five days, ten thousand of our men worked hard and with a will, in that work of destruction, with axes, sledges, crowbars, clawbars, and with fire, and I have no hesitation in pronouncing the work well done. Meridian . . . no longer exists.”

why the gun is civilization ~ By: Marko Kloos

why the gun is civilization.

Mar23 by Marko Kloos

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that’s it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force. The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gangbanger, and a single gay guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we’d be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger’s potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat–it has no validity when most of a mugger’s potential marks are armed. People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that’s the exact opposite of a civilized society.

A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.
Then there’s the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser. People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don’t constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level. The gun is the only weapon that’s as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weightlifter. It simply wouldn’t work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn’t both lethal and easily employable.

But what is Jihad? The doctrine of Jihad has been both debated publicly and also ignored in the years after the 9/11 attacks. Yet it has a set meaning and use since Muhammad’s days, despite much propagandizing and obfuscations by its apologists.

Further, any group opposed by violent Islam shall be permanently attacked since Islamic radicals demand submission or death. Jihad, the Western idea of the Just War, and September Eleventh are the topic of this brief essay, lest we forget the cause of the terrorist butchery....

There currently is a debate raging over public nudity in San Francisco.

It’s already entirely legal to parade about in the buff on the city’s streets, and no one is discussing the resurrection of indecent-exposure laws. Rather, the question is whether sanitary behavior — namely, posterior protection for public seating — should be required of nudists by law.

Reports the Los Angeles Times:

Retired math teacher David Goldman and his husband, Michael Koehn, were sharing a pleasant alfresco moment at a public plaza in the heart of the Castro district this week, passing a slender joint between them (medicinal, of course), as Eric Anderson sunbathed one table over. Naked............

(Supreme) Court Case Asks if ‘Big Brother’ Is Spelled GPS

(Supreme) Court Case Asks if ‘Big Brother’ Is Spelled GPS:

WASHINGTON — The precedent is novel. More precisely, the precedent is a novel.

In a series of rulings on the use of satellites and cellphones to track criminal suspects, judges around the country have been citing George Orwell’s “1984” to sound an alarm. They say the Fourth Amendment’s promise of protection from government invasion of privacy is in danger of being replaced by the futuristic surveillance state Orwell described.

**SNIP**

Last month, Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis of the Federal District Court in Brooklyn turned down a government request for 113 days of location data from cellphone towers, citing “Orwellian intrusion” and saying the courts must “begin to address whether revolutionary changes in technology require changes to existing Fourth Amendment doctrine.”

The Supreme Court is about to do just that. In November, it will hear arguments in United States v. Jones, No. 10-1259, the most important Fourth Amendment case in a decade. The justices will address a question that has divided the lower courts: Do the police need a warrant to attach a GPS device to a suspect’s car and track its movements for weeks at a time?

Gun store owner had misgivings about ATF sting(AZ):

When federal agents with Operation Fast and Furious told Andre Howard to sell weapons to illegal purchasers, he complied, but he feared someone would get hurt. Then a border agent was shot.

Reporting from Glendale and Rio Rico, Ariz.— In the fall of 2009, ATF agents installed a secret phone line and hidden cameras in a ceiling panel and wall at Andre Howard's Lone Wolf gun store. They gave him one basic instruction: Sell guns to every illegal purchaser who walks through the door.

For 15 months, Howard did as he was told. To customers with phony IDs or wads of cash he normally would have turned away, he sold pistols, rifles and semiautomatics. He was assured by the ATF that they would follow the guns, and that the surveillance would lead the agents to the violent Mexican drug cartels on the Southwest border.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.

He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague." -Marcus Cicero, 43 BC.............................................

UK Jihadists Burn US Flag During 9/11 Memorial

UK Jihadists Burn US Flag During 9/11 Memorial:

British police allowed about a hundred jihadists chanting offensive slogans to march through central London Sunday and burn a US flag during the memorial events for the 9/11 massacres ten years ago.

At the same time, a group organized by the nationalist English Defense League that gathered to lay wreaths at the U.S. Embassy in London was told to move away in order to avert a possible clash between the groups. Police used force against the EDL group. The jihadis chanted "USA – terror state!", "Burn, burn, USA!" and "Muslims rise up!" as a US flag was burned. One of the protesters spoke into the megaphone and said: "We can tell you that you will never win the war because Islam is [unclear] in Europe and America, and we are winning the war ideologically, militarily, economically!"

Other speakers insisted that the West's war on terror is a war against Islam, and said that the Western soldiers who died fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq "died for nothing." As he was being led away from the US embassy, a leader of the EDL wreath-laying event told policemen: "You have just facilitated the complete humiliation of our whole country."

How Many Times can Congressional Members Fold Like Cheap Suits?

How Many Times can Congressional Members Fold Like Cheap Suits?:

It’s amazing how little effect the 2010 midterm elections had on the RINO (Republican in Name Only for those recently awakened and new to politics) establishment members. Unfortunately, they continue to operate as if they had lost the House of Representatives instead of gaining it. Most certainly go-along-to-get-along Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) acts as if this were so.

And will any of us truly forget Senator Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) submissive and unbecoming beggings to Obama and the Democrats, as he quickly and willingly joined Marxist-Leninist Harry Reid (D-NV) to help McConnell with his original “I’ll always give up without a fight, Mr. Obama” pleadings? These McConnell overtures were designed to give the usurper-in-chief virtually everything he wanted in the recently passed “debt deal.”

The same can be said for every Republican who voted to pass the phony “don’t let us default!” bill—supposed newbie (and now proven to be bogus) conservative electees included. By the way, we would NOT have defaulted. And this literally begs the questions “

Is Congress really folding like the proverbial cheap suit? Or, is some other—perhaps very disturbing—motivation in play?”...............................................

Man Knowledge: The History of Invisible Ink by Brett & Kate McKay

Man Knowledge: The History of Invisible Ink by Brett & Kate McKay:

In April of this year, the CIA released its oldest classified documents and the last from the World War I era. Dating from 1917 and 1918, the papers mainly contain recipes for “secret writing” – instructions for agents of the Office of Naval Intelligence (the CIA did not yet exist) on how make invisible ink. Such a low-tech espionage method may seem quaint today, but invisible ink was once a very serious business and an important tool in a spy’s bag of tricks.

So much so that the CIA bizarrely waited almost a century before revealing its most basic recipes to the public (information which was available on the web and to every Boy Scout), claiming even in the 90s that the material constituted a foundation upon which more modern tactics had been built and that invisible ink remained a viable tool for its agents.

While the use of invisible ink has now been almost entirely eclipsed by modern technology, its history is incredibly fascinating, and today as part of our Man Knowledge series we’ll explore its use through time.

9/11, the Damage of the Aftermath and the Brightness Ahead by Anthony Wile

9/11, the Damage of the Aftermath and the Brightness Ahead by Anthony Wile:

The FBI has given up trying to explain where phone calls from the planes came from as cell phones were not capable of making calls from fast-moving planes and the planes had no in-flight phones, either. The calls to loved ones from doomed passengers then remain a mystery. The plane that went down in Pennsylvania scattered supposed remains over many miles, even though in a normal crash scene, much of the plane's remains would be located in one place. The Pentagon attack remains questionable as well, with the FBI still withholding, some 10 years later, scores of videos that it confiscated from the area's security cameras and merchants.

There are literally hundreds of anomalous issues regarding the 9/11 narrative; they can be found on the Internet and many of them raise good questions. As we have pointed out many times in the past, it is not the task of citizens who have questions about 9/11 to come up with answers. It is likely impossible for an individual to reconstruct what went on without resources, both legal and monetary.

Some sort of new commission, private or public, should be established to summarize the evidence and create conclusions commensurate with the facts..........................

The Founding Father of ‘Collective Responsibility’ by Thomas DiLorenzo

The Founding Father of ‘Collective Responsibility’ by Thomas DiLorenzo:

William Tecumseh Sherman was indeed the founding father of terrorism perpetrated by the U.S. government and disquised by the language of "collective security." Sherman biographer William Fellman (author of Citizen Sherman) quotes Sherman as saying this about his fellow American citizens from the Southern states: "To the petulant and persistent secessionists, why death is mercy, and the quicker he or she is disposed of the better . . . .

Until we can repopulate Georgia, it is useless to occupy it, but the utter destruction of its roads, houses, and people will cripple their military resources" (emphasis added). Sherman was referring here to his plans for the civilian population of Georgia after the Confederate Army had left the state.

Referring to his plans for the civilian population of Northern Alabama, Fellman quotes Sherman as saying that the "Government of the United States" had the "right" to "take their lives, their homes, their lands, their everything . . . . We will take every life, every acre of land, every particle of property . . . " And he was not referring to slaves when he used the word "property.".......................
