US orders news blackout over crippled Nebraska Nuclear Plant?

US orders news blackout over crippled Nebraska Nuclear Plant?: "A shocking report prepared by Russia’s Federal Atomic Energy Agency (FAAE) on information provided to them by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) states that the Obama regime has ordered a “total and complete” news blackout relating to any information regarding the near catastrophic meltdown of the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant located in Nebraska.

According to this report, the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant suffered a “catastrophic loss of cooling” to one of its idle spent fuel rod pools on 7 June after this plant was deluged with water caused by the historic flooding of the Missouri River which resulted in a fire causing the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) to issue a “no-fly ban” over the area.

Located about 20 minutes outside downtown Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska, the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant is owned by Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) who on their website denies their plant is at a “Level 4” emergency by stating: “This terminology is not accurate, and is not how emergencies at nuclear power plants are classified.”

Russian atomic scientists in this FAAE report, however, say that this OPPD statement is an “outright falsehood”"

Chesty Puller On “Loyalty Down”
Puller: “I also learned that this loyalty to one’s Corps travels both ways, up and down.”
The following is in relation to the well-known Ribbon Creek/S/Sgt Matthew McKeon trial at MCRD, Parris Island, SC, in 1956

Amid a nationwide public outcry regarding the whole matter of the drownings in particular and Marine Corps training practices in general, LtGen Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller was recalled to active duty to testify at the trial regarding Marine training and tradition. Mrs. Puller protested to her husband citing previous trouble and controversy in Puller’s career. Puller told her, “...The important thing is the Marine Corps. If we let ‘em, they’ll tear it to pieces. Headquarters won’t speak up. It’s my duty to do it.”

At the trial, Puller was asked questions pertaining to his own military service, the mission of the Marine Corps, the most important element of Marine training, etc. In part, Puller replied that:, “...The definition of military training is success in battle. In my opinion, it is the only objective of military training...”
He quoted Napoleon. “He stated that the most important thing in military training is discipline. Without discipline an army becomes a mob.”

Puller was asked what he had learned here (PISC) as a recruit. He replied, “Well, the main thing—that I have rememberd all my life—is the definition of espirit de corps. Now my definition—that I was taught, that I’ve always believed in—is that espirit de corps means love for one’s military legion. In my case the United States Marine Corps. I also learned that this loyalty to one’s Corps travels both ways, up and down.

“Q: Now, general, I want you to assume that what is the evidence in this case is a fact. That on a Sunday evening a drill instructor took a platoon that was undisciplined and lacked spirit and on whom he’ tried other methods of discipline. And that for purposes of teaching discipline and instilling morale he took that platoon into a marsh or creek—all the way in front of his troops—would you consider that oppression?

A: In my opinion it is not.”
“Q: So, in your opinion, was this act of this drill instructor in leading his troops, under those conditions and for that purpose, good or bad military practice?
A: Good...
...I would train my troops as I thought—as I knew they should be trained—regardless of a directive.”
“Q: ...I lead these recruits into water over their heads and I lose six of those men by drowning. Would you say that some action should be taken against me?
A: I would say that this night march was and is a deplorable accident.”
“Q: Would you take any action against me if I were the one who did that, if you were my Commanding Officer, sir?

A: ...I think, from what I read in the papers yesterday of the testimony of General Pate before this court, that he agrees and regrets that this man was ever ordered tried by general court-martial.”

“Puller went into the noncom’s club that night with Berman, two Marine generals and other officers; the big crowd stood, shouting until he spoke:
‘I’ve talked enough for today. This will be my last request. Do your duty and the Marine Corps will be as great as it has always been for another thousand years.’

The applause was deafening.”

Pentagon Marine Reservist Detained Near Pentagon Linked to D.C. Military Building Shootings

Pentagon Marine Reservist Detained Near Pentagon Linked to D.C. Military Building Shootings: "The case had apparently gone cold. But after several months of no progress, federal authorities have now zeroed in on a suspect in last year's shootings at several military sites around the nation's capital. Their suspect: the 22-year-old Marine reservist arrested Friday after causing a terror scare near the Pentagon.

Ballistics obtained at the suspect's home have been linked to evidence found at the scenes of the 2010 shootings, including the Marine Corps Museum in Triangle, Va., a vacant Marine recruiting station in Chantilly, Va., and the Pentagon itself, Fox News has learned.

Google Loves Obama

Google Loves Obama: "Despite his populist anti-free market rhetoric and record, the President has a love affair and relationship with a corporate giant. The company is Google and the incestuous relationship pays dividends to both parties but leaves taxpayers out as the third wheel.

Money magazine in an article entitled 'Obama & Google (A Love Story)' described the love affair as '[F]rom his denunciations of Wall Street greed to his critiques of the auto manufacturers, Obama and his team have done little to disguise their mistrust of big business -- except when it comes to one very large, very influential technology company.'

The relationship between the corporate giant and the president started before Obama's ascension to the presidency.

Google has long supported President Obama. In his book, 'The Audacity of Hope' President Obama embraces the relationship pointing out that Google managers and employees were among his largest supporters, donating nearly one million dollars to his campaign."

Malice Toward All, Charity Toward None:

The Foundations of the American State by Thomas DiLorenzo: "'Americans are forever proclaiming our boastful aspersions to the world . . . that our government was based on the consent of the people,' though in fact 'it rests upon force, as much as any government that ever existed.'

~ Letter from Robert E. Lee to E.G.W. Butler, Oct. 11, 1867

'[H]ad the Confederates somehow won, had their victory put them in position to bring their chief opponents before some sort of tribunal, they would have found themselves justified . . . in stringing up President Lincoln and the entire Union high command for violation of the laws of war, specifically for waging war against noncombatants.'

~ Lee Kennett, Marching through Georgia: A Life of William Tecumseh Sherman, p. 286

In his book Battle Cry for Freedom: The Civil War Era (p. 619), Lincoln cultist James McPherson wrote that some 50,000 Southern civilians perished during the War to Prevent Southern Independence. Others have made estimates that are much higher. The only way this could be possible is that if thousands were murdered in cold blood by the U.S. Army."

Big Brother To Further Propagandize The US Economy: Change The CPI: "Big Brother To Further Propagandize The US Economy: Change The CPI

06-22-2011 • ZeroHedge.com

A few months ago we reported on Goldman's proposal to change the definition of GDP to make the US economy appear to be growing faster than it really is. So far, it has not caught on, as even the revised definition will soon confirm a contraction. But that proposal appears to have given Joe Biden some ideas, who now has taken the Fukushima approach to (sur)reality, whereby one merely changes the terms of data measurement when the data does not cooperate. Enter the revised CPI: 'Lawmakers are considering changing how the Consumer Price Index is calculated, a move that could save perhaps $220 billion and represent significant progress in the ongoing federal debt ceiling and deficit reduction talks.' And because nobody has an issue with the current artificial hedonic and otherwise adjustments to the CPI which always reflect a far lower increase in prices than what is actually happening, here comes the government with another idea to make inflation appear to be rising even slower:

Sarah Palin Reportedly Quits Bus Tour Halfway Through

Sarah Palin Reportedly Quits Bus Tour Halfway Through: "Former half-term Gov. Sarah Palin has reportedly packed in her bus tour...halfway through.

Real Clear Politics is reporting that Palin and her family have returned to Alaska from their 'One Nation' bus tour, despite tentatively scheduled stops in Iowa and South Carolina.

From Scott Conroy at RCP:

Though Palin and her staff never announced a timeline for the remaining legs of her trip, aides had drafted preliminary itineraries that would have taken her through the Midwest and Southeast at some point this month. But those travel blueprints are now in limbo, RCP has learned, as Palin and her family have reverted to the friendly confines of summertime Alaska, where the skies are currently alight for over 19 hours a day and the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak.

Palin's intent to visit Iowa and South Carolina, as well as one stop in New Hampshire, caused some speculation that she was starting to get serious about a run for president in 2012.

The bus tour was launched over Memorial Day weekend, and was particularly scrutinized after one event in Boston where Palin badly flubbed the story behind Paul Revere's ride."

Reps. Frank and Paul: Let states legalize pot

Reps. Frank and Paul: Let states legalize pot: "A bipartisan team of Reps. Barney Frank, D-Mass., and Ron Paul, R-Texas, will introduce federal legislation that would permit states to legalize, regulate, tax and control marijuana without federal interference.

The legislation will be unveiled Thursday by Frank, an outspoken liberal Democrat, and the libertarian Paul, who is running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

The bill would limit the U.S. government role in marijuana enforcement to interdiction of cross-border or inter-state smuggling. Citizens would be able to legally grow, use or sell cannabis in states which have legalized the forbidden weed.

The legislation is the first bill to be introduced in Congress that would end federal marijuana prohibition.

In a preview of the legislation, the Marijuana Policy Project noted that last week marked the 40th Anniversary of when President Nixon declared that the federal government was at war with marijuana and other drugs.

Nixon had rejected recommendations by a presidential panel that the country move toward decriminalization and an education and treatment-based drug policy.

Everything We're Doing Now Was Planned BEFORE 9/11 : Information Clearing House: ICH: "* The Afghanistan war was planned before 9/11 (see this and this)

* The decision to launch the Iraq war was made before 9/11. Indeed, former CIA director George Tenet said that the White House wanted to invade Iraq long before 9/11, and inserted 'crap' in its justifications for invading Iraq. Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill - who sat on the National Security Council - also says that Bush planned the Iraq war before 9/11. Why "We the People" Are Not Waking Up

Why "We the People" Are Not Waking Up:

"Why 'We the People' Are Not Waking Up
Introduction – We have been wondering for years why we the people are so asleep or dumbed down. We used to think it was the schools and a lack of proper government education. Well this is a small contributor to the problem.

The Patriots, Sovereigns whatever you wish to call people who believe in the constitution and the teachings of the founding fathers, have tried for decades to educate the people. Has not done much good, obviously. We also thought it was TV, music and movies. Again another small contributor. Then we thought is was video games, but again another small contributor. By this we mean the people can escape with the TV, music, movies and video games.

Then comes the internet. Many escape using online gaming. Some escape using sex sites. Other escape by getting lost in social networking sites. There are a large amount of escape avenues to get your mind off of the problems. This still did not satisfy us as to why the people are so complacent even to the point of letting TSA molest their minor children. Something else is wrong we thought. What was it escaped us for some time."

'They' Hate Our Freedoms by Thomas DiLorenzo

'They' Hate Our Freedoms by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"Consider just a short list of the neocon attacks on the liberties of the American people. There's the law passed by the Republican Congress that would give a moron like George W. Bush the ability to declare martial law.

Bush himself claims to have the power of 'the unitary executive,' a term the founding fathers were certainly unfamiliar with, that supposedly gives him the right to essentially act as a dictator and ignore the Constitution because of the 'war on terra,' which he says will last forever.

The so-called PATRIOT Act allows the government to declare that almost anyone who protests government actions is an 'enemy combatant' and deprive them of all constitutional rights. The neocons also desire to suspend habeas corpus whenever they want to, a constitutional right that former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez claimed in a statement to a congressional committee is not even a constitutional right.

Warrantless wiretapping is par for the Bush administration course — not that wiretapping with a 'warrant' is much better from a civil liberties perspective. The Republican Congress claimed that Bush is exempted from the Geneva Convention and is essentially above the law. He obviously believes that he is."

Required Reading for Ron Paul Revolutionaries by Thomas DiLorenzo

Required Reading for Ron Paul Revolutionaries by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"In A Nation of Sheep Napolitano gives us chapter and verse of how Americans have been neo-conned into acquiescing in such an attack on their own liberties. The book is the third in a trilogy, following Constitutional Chaos: What Happens When the Government Breaks its Own Laws, and The Constitution in Exile. All three are required reading for Ron Paul Revolutionaries — and for anyone who wants to understand the meaning and significance of constitutional liberty in America, who its enemies are, and why they must be stopped.

All neocons play the Orwellian game of making pronouncements about the Constitution, pretending to be supportive of it, while actively supporting its destruction. They are especially fond of cloaking themselves in a few selected words of the founding fathers to give the impression that Washington, Jefferson, and Madison would somehow approve of their foreign policy imperialism.

But consider this: At the heart of their phony constitutionalism lies the notion that, before the American Revolution, the founders said something like this to the King of England: 'Your Majesty, all we ask is that you provide us with security and protect us from the French, the Spaniards, and any other hostile force.

In return, we will gladly give up all of our personal liberties and the rights of Englishmen.'"

Fanatical Yankee Utopians by Thomas DiLorenzo

Fanatical Yankee Utopians by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"In his brilliant LRC article, 'The Yankee Problem in America,' Clyde Wilson describes how America came to be ruled by a peculiar sect of religious, statist fanatics that originated in New England and became known as 'Yankees.'

Not all Northerners are/were 'Yankees,' Professor Wilson wrote, for many are obviously fine people. He was referring to 'that peculiar ethnic group descended from New Englanders, who can be easily recognized by their arrogance, hypocrisy, greed, lack of congeniality, and penchant for ordering other people around.'

They 'have never given up the notion that they are the chosen saints whose mission is to make America, and the world, into the perfection of their own image.' Today we would call them 'neocons' or 'Hillary Clinton supporters.'

A 'Yankee' is 'self-righteous, ruthless, and self-aggrandizing,' which is why Hillary Clinton is 'a museum-quality specimen of the Yankee,' writes Professor Wilson. The Yankee temperament, moreover, 'makes a neat fit with the Stalinism that was brought into the Deep North by later immigrants.'

(He was obviously referring to the burgeoning communist movement in New York City in the early twentieth century, which produced so-called 'red diaper babies' such as the former communist rabble rouser David Horowitz.)"

The Founding Father of Constitutional Subversion by Thomas DiLorenzo

The Founding Father of Constitutional Subversion by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"Jefferson and most other founders viewed the Constitution as a set of constraints on the powers of government. Hamilton thought of it in exactly the opposite way — as a grant of powers rather than as a set of limitations — a potential rubber stamp on anything and everything the federal government ever wanted to do. He and his fellow nationalists (the Federalists) set about to use the lawyerly manipulation of words to 'amend' the Constitution without utilizing the formal amendment process.

'Having failed to persuade his colleagues at Philadelphia of the beauties of a truly national plan of government,' Rossiter wrote, 'and having thereafter recognized the futility of persuading the legislatures of three-fourths of the states to surrender even a jot of their privileges, he set out to remold the Constitution into an instrument of national supremacy.'

And how did he 'remold' the Constitution? He began by inventing a number of myths (i.e., lies) about the American founding.

On June 29, 1787, before the Constitution was even ratified, he said that the sovereign states were merely 'artificial beings' that had nothing to do with creating the union — despite the fact that the Constitution itself (in Article 7) declared that the document would be ratified (if it was to be ratified) by the citizens of at least nine of the thirteen states."

Team of Liars by Thomas DiLorenzo

Team of Liars by Thomas DiLorenzo:

For the past several months the media have reported stories of how much President-elect Barack Obama admires the book Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns-Goodwin, the theme of which is what an incredible political conniver, manipulator and string puller Abraham Lincoln was.

Goodwin uses more euphemistic language, but that indeed is the theme of the book by the confessed plagiarist Goodwin.

Of special interest to Obama, according to news reports, is Goodwin's lavish praise for Lincoln's supposedly extraordinary 'statesmanship' for having appointed former rivals for the Republican nomination, such as William Seward (secretary of state), to his cabinet.

As this is being written the media are simply going nuts over the Obama-Lincoln theme in light of all the talk of Hillary Clinton, a 'New Yorker' like Seward, possibly being appointed to the post of secretary of state by the new president from Illinois.

There's one problem with the story about how extraordinary it was for Lincoln to have appointed former political rivals to his cabinet, however:

It isn't true."

Obama's Political Pork-Barrel Infrastructure by Thomas DiLorenzo

Obama's Political Pork-Barrel Infrastructure by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"This is exactly how President-elect Obama's proposed 'stimulus package' should be viewed:
It is part payoff to the urban political machines, labor unions, and other special interests that helped get him elected, and part vote-buying (with federal tax dollars) scheme as the first step in his 2012 re-election campaign. It will no more 'stimulate' the economy than Herbert Hoover's 1929 'stimulus package' did, despite the fact that it accounted for 13 percent of the entire federal budget. Hoover continued to increase 'public works' spending by massive amounts, accompanied by massive tax increases to pay for it all. FDR did the same, increasing the amount of spending and taxes by orders of magnitude.

All of it had no positive effect whatsoever on the overall economy; the primary economic effect was to balloon the size of federal, state, and local governments at the expense of shrinking the private sector — and to create more private-sector unemployment."

Why Did This Happen? by Thomas DiLorenzo

Why Did This Happen? by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"How did America in the twenty-first century end up with a government that is so highly centralized that the president alone can order the expenditure of hundreds of billions of dollars without the consent of Congress, let alone the public?

How did we end up with a government that creates severe economic hardship for average citizens while showering big, politically-connected businesses with literally trillions of dollars in 'bailout' money?

Is this the real purpose of the Fed, as opposed to all of its happy talk about its supposed duty to 'stabilize' the economy? And why is it that the Constitution is completely ignored, if not ridiculed, by the same Washington politicians who all that take an oath to defend the Constitution?

How did the federal judiciary become mere accomplices in our government-for-the-privileged-only 'democracy' that routinely tells citizens to get lost whenever they inquire about how their tax dollars are being spent?

And is it really desirable to have over half of the entire adult population 'on the government dole' in one form or another so that they never oppose an expansion of the state for fear of losing their own subsidies? How and when was this system created?"

When Dictatorship Came to America by Thomas DiLorenzo

When Dictatorship Came to America by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"Emison agrees that Lincoln's influence is tremendous, but writes that “America is haunted by Lincoln's blood lust for a coercive, dominant, unitary, unaccountable, debt-laden central government” whose principle function is “the plunder of society and the redistribution of wealth to the politically privileged elite [like the Cuomo family] and their collection of political sycophants [like Lincoln cultists] who help keep them in power.” In this regard, “the two major parties have become the party of Lincoln, each a metastatic twin of the other.” Abraham Lincoln “opened the door to the Leviathan central state that mandates, manipulates, and regulates virtually every aspect of life in America and seeks unilateral hegemony around the globe.”"

In Defense of Sedition by Thomas DiLorenzo

In Defense of Sedition by Thomas DiLorenzo:

"As I wrote in The Real Lincoln, the one unequivocal good that came of Lincoln's war was the abolition of slavery. But the worst thing that came of it — the thing that was the real purpose of the war — was the centralization of virtually all political power in Washington, D.C., and the essential death of the Jeffersonian system of states' rights or federalism that was the essence of the pre-war Constitution. After 1865, the federal government became the sole decision maker with regard to the limits of its own powers. It exercised this decision-making power through the federal judiciary and, as the Jeffersonians had always warned, it eventually declared that there were, in fact, no limits to its powers.

It didn't take long for the federal government to declare the idea of natural rights, the bedrock of the Jeffersonian philosophy of government, to be null and void. It did this by adopting the income tax in 1913, along with the creation of the vast legalized counterfeiting scheme known as the Federal Reserve. The income tax effectively declares that all earned income is the property of the state, and that the state will inform us from time to time how much of our own income we may keep to live on by setting the income tax rates."

“Islam can dominate, over the world, only by jihad,” says the very plain jihadi website realjihad.tk. It reminds readers that jihad doesn’t have stages, and that “lame excuses” like making a living shouldn’t stand in the way.

RealJihad lacks the sharp graphics, interactive chat rooms, and other tools used by more sophisticated jihadi blogs and forums. Despite this, it has a leg up on its competitors: it is one of the primary links provided on the Facebook page of Jaish-e-Mohammad, a Pakistani terror organization.

Jihadi radicalization occurs on a number of sites and is not limited to the dedicated sites, blogs, and forums commonly used by terrorist supporters. Jihadists exploit popular Western social media sites, like Facebook, to radicalize, build contact networks, and pass information."

ATF Hosts Its First 'Gay Pride' Observance

ATF Hosts Its First 'Gay Pride' Observance: "The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), under fire for allowing U.S.-purchased guns to flow to Mexican criminals, celebrated its first gay pride event on Wednesday.

The celebration at ATF’s Washington headquarters was intended to recognize the “accomplishments and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans to ATF and the nation, and to promote awareness of the LGBT culture,” ATF said in a news release.

'ATF works to ensure sexual orientation discrimination and prejudice are not tolerated in our workplace,' said Acting Director Kenneth Melson. 'ATF is an equal employment opportunity environment where effective and equitable participation is encouraged.”

The keynote speaker, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), spoke about his experiences serving as an openly gay congressman.

ATF says it has created an LGBT affinity group called 'ATF Pride' with the primary goal of ensuring equal employment opportunity and enhancing development opportunities for LGBT employees at the agency."

F.B.I. seizes web servers, knocks sites offline

F.B.I. seizes web servers, knocks sites offline: "Instapaper and Curbed Network are among the sites hit, though the cause of the raid is unknown

The F.B.I. seized Web servers in a raid on a data center early Tuesday, causing several Web sites, including those run by the New York publisher Curbed Network, to go offline.

The raid happened at 1:15 a.m. at a hosting facility in Reston, Va., used by DigitalOne, which is based in Switzerland, the company said. The F.B.I. did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the raid.

In an e-mail to one of its clients on Tuesday afternoon, a DigitalOne employee, Sergej Ostroumow, said: “This problem is caused by the F.B.I., not our company. In the night F.B.I. has taken 3 enclosures with equipment plugged into them, possibly including your server — we can not check it.”"

Fareed Zakaria: Dump the Constitution

Fareed Zakaria: Dump the Constitution: "CNN contributor Fareed Zakaria argues that the Constitution is outdated and its principles should be “debated and fixed” to conform with the modern era. He suggests “a set of amendments to modernize the Constitution for the 21st Century.”

Fareed Zakaria: Dump the Constitution archglobalist

Fareed Zakaria with arch globalist and notorious war criminal Henry Kissinger.

This is not the first time Zakaria has talked about ditching the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. He recently told Charlie Rose that America is “parochial” and there are countries around the world that do things better than we do. See the video below.

Zakaria is a smart fellow. He knows the Constitution established bedrock principles that led to previously unimagined wealth and prosperity.

He also understands the average American knows almost nothing about the Constitution and certainly nothing about republicanism, liberty and inalienable rights. Far too many Americans know virtually nothing about classical liberalism, the ideal of limited government, and the unbridled liberty of individuals including freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and free markets."

Obama’s ineligibility: We now have elective despotism

Obama’s ineligibility: We now have elective despotism:

"We have elections, but we have no representation. Congress operates much like the Mafia, except the Mafiosi are not paralyzed with fear when someone calls them “racist” or “birther.”

A made man, also known as a wise-guy, is someone who has been officially inducted into the Mafia.

After the ceremony (election) the inductee (candidate) is then a made man and a full member of the Mafia hierarchy (Congress). The made man now enjoys the full protection and backing of the Mafia establishment (Congressional leadership) as long as he remains in favor (does what he’s told) and earns enough money (squeezes taxpayers), of which a percentage of his earnings are passed further up the hierarchy (kick-backs to buy votes for the next election).

Omertis the Mafia “code of silence”.

Congressional Omertis used when: Congress grants special privileges to itself, which ordinary citizens do not receive; to cover-up criminal wrongdoing or ethics violations and to circumvent the Constitution.

Politicians have been known to court the Mafia (unions, special interests, racial and ethnic groups) to obtain votes during elections. They usually repay this support with favors, such as sabotaging investigations or giving cash, contracts or permits.

President Ron Paul’s Likely SupremeCourtNominations by Walter Block

President Ron Paul’s Likely SupremeCourtNominations by Walter Block:

"My first nomination is of course Andrew Napolitano. As an ex judge, surely he has an inside track. I hesitate to mention him in this context because I see him more as a Vice Presidential candidate than a potential Supreme Court judge.

But, if Dr. Paul chooses someone else for that position, it is hard to imagine a better nomination than Andrew. There is also a sitting judge, U.S. Federal District Court of New Orleans, Martin Feldman, who is a personal friend of Judge Napolitano’s. Marty, who on October 12, 1983 was appointed United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana by President Reagan, is justly famous for lifting Pres. Obama’s deep water oil drilling ban in the Gulf Mexico.

One trouble with Judge Feldman for this purpose is that he is closer to the end of his career than to the beginning of it."

Michelle Obama to African youths: Yes, you can (at US taxpayer's expense): "Obama, who is traveling with her mother and two daughters, drew on the leaders of the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa and the civil rights movement in the United States as an example for the younger generation to follow.

'It is because of them that we are able to gather here today... It is because of them that I stand before you as First Lady of the United States of America,' she said to applause.

'That is the legacy of the independence generation, the freedom generation. And all of you — the young people of this continent — you are the heirs of that blood, sweat, sacrifice, and love.'

Sixty percent of Africa's population is under age 25. And in South Africa, two-thirds of its people are younger than 30."

Pulling plug on privacy; How technology helped make the 4th Amendment obsolete

Pulling plug on privacy; How technology helped make the 4th Amendment obsolete:

"So why haven’t you heard about it?

Because you’re the murderer. We all are. Our weapon of choice? Most recently, the smartphone, which, with our collective blessing, allows law enforcement to monitor our real-time geographic location. Although a bill recently proposed by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., would require police to obtain a warrant before turning our cellphones into tracking devices, such legislation may come too late to save the Fourth Amendment from this fatal blow.

It started with the supermarket loyalty programs. They seemed innocuous enough — you just scribble down your name, number and address in exchange for a plastic card and a discount on Oreos. The problem, at least constitutionally speaking, is that the Fourth Amendment protects only what we reasonably expect to keep private. One facet of this rule, known as the third party doctrine, is that we don’t have reasonable expectations of privacy in things we’ve already revealed to other people or the public.

You would, for example, have a reasonable expectation of privacy for a photograph on your nightstand meaning the police would need probable cause and a warrant before taking a peek. But you lose that expectation of privacy when you tack the souvenir photo from Foamhenge on the office bulletin board to make co-workers envious."

Commie Bammy or Commie Rommy in 2012?Maybe it would be time to go Galt Coach is Right

Commie Bammy or Commie Rommy in 2012?Maybe it would be time to go Galt Coach is Right:

"Because if Romney is elected instead, the country is still going to go down in flames, but the climax of destruction will occur on Romney’s watch, allowing the Marxist media swine to convince the nave public that it’s all the Republicans’ fault.

However, if Obama were to be re-elected, then in future elections (at least a generation or two), the choices should be clear based on the utter destruction wrought by eight years of Obama and the Socialist Democrats. Hopefully after eight years of economic devastation our people would have learned their lessons and would choose prosperity over tyranny, at least for a while longer.

And what if the people want even more of the Socialist Democrats after eight years of terror and destruction? Then unfortunately for we who work and think and know better, the majority will deserve the government they select. But what about you and me, you say? Well, it would be a good time to start a new country within this country, I think. It would be time to select a few good states and migrate there en masse and take them over at the ballot box. Maybe it would be time to go Galt."

White House (Obama Administration) loosens border rules for 2012

White House (Obama Administration) loosens border rules for 2012:

"resident Barack Obama’s administration is quietly offering a quasi-amnesty for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, while aiming to win reelection by mobilizing a wave of new Hispanic voters, say supporters of stronger immigration law enforcement.

The new rules were quietly announced Friday with a new memo from top officials at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The “prosecutorial discretion” memo says officials need not enforce immigration laws if illegal immigrants are enrolled in an education center or if their relatives have volunteered for the US military.

“They’re pushing the [immigration] agents to be even more lax, to go further in not enforcing the law,” said Kris Kobach, Kansas’ secretary of state. “At a time when millions of Americans are unemployed and looking for work, this is more bad news coming from the Obama administration… [if the administration] really cared about putting Americans back to work, it would be vigorously enforcing the law,” said Kobach, who has helped legislators in several states draft local immigration-related laws.

Commie Bammy or Commie Rommy in 2012?Maybe it would be time to go Galt Coach is Right:

"So, come 2012 would you prefer four more years of Chicago Commie-thug politics or the lesser socialism of Mitt Romney?

Unfortunately, this is a germane question, and I suspect it may be on the minds of many thinking conservatives right now.

Suppose Romney does get the 2012 nomination. Then what? If he wins the Presidency, will Romney be Obama’s Reagan? Will Romney undo the damage Obama has inflicted on our great nation and steer us back to a prosperous and fruitful course? No, of course not.

Is Romney much different than Obama? Not really. Romney embraces the worst of Obammunism, including the Marxist fairy tail of global warming, as well as socialized medicine which redistributes medical care by taking from the haves and GIVING to the have-nots. Heck, Romney even helped invent Obamacare!"

Obama issues Dream Act by executive order…press ignores:

Feds look to regulate food similar to tobacco, with hopes of saving money on health care

Feds look to regulate food similar to tobacco, with hopes of saving money on health care:

"The federal government has a growing interest in the eating habits of Americans for the same reason it has an interest in tobacco consumption, said Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.

The reason is money, because three-quarters of medical-spending is driven by chronic diseases, such as obesity and tobacco-related diseases, she said.

Sebelius’ comments came at the tail-end of Tuesday’s White House press conference where officials showcased nine new photos that must be carried on cigarette packs. Officials used a survey of 18,000 people to find the images that would have the most distressing impact on groups of smokers, including young smokers and mothers of young kids.

America's New Racists by Walter E. Williams

America's New Racists by Walter E. Williams:

"Born in 1936, I've lived through some of our openly racist history, which has included racist insults, beatings and lynchings. Tuskegee Institute records show that between the years 1880 and 1951, 3,437 blacks and 1,293 whites were lynched.

I recall my cousin's and my being chased out of Fishtown and Grays Ferry, two predominantly Irish Philadelphia neighborhoods, in the 1940s, not stopping until we reached a predominantly black North or South Philly neighborhood.

Today all that has changed. Most racist assaults are committed by blacks. What's worse is there're blacks, still alive, who lived through the times of lynching, Jim Crow laws and open racism who remain silent in the face of it."

From that perspective, it's no wonder the social progressive federal bureaucracy are arming themselves with government edicts as America's politicians sell their souls to the princes of industry and the barons of banking. They are both worried about the American people—and, perhaps, with reason."

Straight Talk From Top Enlisted Marine on ‘Don’t Ask’ Repeal - Washington Wire - WSJ:

"“Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution is pretty simple,” he told a group of Marines at a base in South Korea. “It says, ‘Raise an army.’ It says absolutely nothing about race, color, creed, sexual orientation.

“You all joined for a reason: to serve,” he continued. “To protect our nation, right?”

“Yes, sergeant major,” Marines replied.

“How dare we, then, exclude a group of people who want to do the same thing you do right now, something that is honorable and noble?” Sgt. Maj. Barrett continued, raising his voice just a notch. “Right?”

Sgt. Maj. Barrett then described conversations with U.K. troops, who saw a similar ban lifted a decade ago, with little disruption. And to drive the point home, he produced a pocket copy of the Constitution.

“Get over it,” he said. “We’re magnificent, we’re going to continue to be. … Let’s just move on, treat everybody with firmness, fairness, dignity, compassion and respect. Let’s be Marines.”"

DHS Raids Social Security System and Zaps U.S. Workers – Again

DHS Raids Social Security System and Zaps U.S. Workers – Again: "The Department of Homeland Security has – yet again – decided to raid the Social Security Trust Fund and shoulder aside American college graduates from good jobs, as it announced today a twist on the use of the F-1 student visa to aid big business.

That, of course, was not the way the DHS publicists shaped their press release, which was, headed, innocuously:

ICE announces expanded list of science, technology, engineering and math degree programs Qualifies eligible graduates to extend their post-graduate training

It sounds like ICE is a university, offering courses to post-graduate students.

Maybe that's what ICE wanted you to believe, but what has happened, without congressional approval, is that the agency has decided to take presumably hundreds of millions of dollars from the Social Security Trust Fund, and to allow big business to save money by hiring recent foreign college grads, rather than hiring U.S. ones."

The $450 Billion Glitch: 3 Million Extra Middle-Class Americans Eligible for Medicaid Benefits: "Wow. Philip Klein points us to this AP story, in which Richard Foster, Chief Actuary of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, says that, due to a glitch in Obamacare, married couples of early retirees making around $64,000 a year will become eligible for Medicaid. According to Foster, as many as 3 million Americans will qualify for the benefit. It’s “a twist government number crunchers say they discovered only after the complex bill was signed.”

If we do a back-of-the-envelope calculation, in which the average annual Medicaid expenditure per early retiree is $15,000 per year, the ten-year cost of this glitch could be as high as $450 billion.
