Oops: White House Corrects Job Creation “Laughter” Line in Transcript: "In fairness, without being there, it's hard to know if the audience would have been reacting specifically to that line or to something else in the room, but the print pool reporter for the evening, Jen Bendery of the Huffington Post, tells FOX News that she did not hear laughter after that line.

Later Tuesday afternoon, the White House sent a corrected version of the transcript, noting the change.

'Over the last 15 months we've created over 2.1 million private sector jobs. (Laughter.) (Applause.)*, ' the release stated.

The Drudge Report, a news website with reads in the tens of millions, picked up on the error and had the headline up at the top of the site for a large portion of the day.

It's of course a small mistake, and minor in the scale of what the administration deals with, but no White House wants to be late-night-joke ready when trying to stay on message that the president is working hard on creating...."
