On Thursday, September 8, 2011 the Public Safety Committee of the Boston City Council will be holding a hearing with the intention of licensing the sale of knives in the city of Boston. Below is the official purpose of the hearing:
That the appropriate committee of the Boston City Council hold a hearing to examine requiring the sale of knives to be licensed by the appropriate police agency that would monitor, regulate and license businesses selling knives. Representatives from the Boston Police Department, Inspectional Services Department, and other interested parties shall be invited to attend.
The meeting will be at City Hall, Ianella Chambers, 5th Floor on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10 am.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is calling out web news aggregator Matt Drudge for suggesting that she's an ogre eager to invade the privacy of Americans and in particular those who travel by air.
"I think my nickname is 'Big Sis.' I don't think he means it kindly, actually," Napolitano said Tuesday, accurately recalling the moniker that often accompanies scary-looking photos of her on Drudge's popular news site.
"I think that what he means is we are watching too much—kind of an Orwellian view. He's just wrong. I mean, he's just wrong," Napolitano declared during a POLITICO Playbook breakfast at the Newseum. She said the privacy impact of new airport screening technology and similar programs are thoroughly vetted before they are implemented.
"We want to be conscious of civil liberties and civil rights protections—and we are," Napolitano insisted. "We don't do anything without kind of running it through our own civil rights and privacy office. We're one of only two departments in the federal government that actually has a presidentially-appointed privacy office and officer."

Here Glenn Beck goes again, claiming he's a Christian, this time at Restoring Courage 2011 — Jerusalem. Glenn gets upset when anyone questions his Christianity.
That's weird because he's a Mormon who affirms the official teaching of Mormonism aka the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). (Sep. 5, 2011) — Here’s an old joke: Let’s have all of our judges and politicians wear logo jackets, you know, windbreakers with the patches of the companies that sponsor them.
The back of Obama’s jacket would have a big, green “BP,” and quite a few senators and representatives would have the flag of China, and maybe we’d see an Iranian flag or two, and, of course, every oil company in existence would be represented in our hallowed halls, as the AMA, all unions, and, without exception, each defense contractor.
Every jacket would, obviously, have multiple patches. Here’s one for you: Ever wonder why judges wear robes? Well, now you know, so all the patches will fit.

Even candidates often lapse into the language of “rip his throat out”, “tear his eyes out” or “drive a stake through her heart”.
It’s no secret either that many Republicans despise Democrats with a passion and vice versa. Just as British MPs hide their contempt of their opponents by referring to them as “the honourable member’, American politicians have their own, albeit less formal, ways of masking their true feelings with anodyne language for public consumption.

News reports suggest that on Thursday night, the president will tell Republicans in the House and Senate that they should put “country before party” and endorse his proposals for job creation. The “country before party” line has become Obama’s new theme in the wake of the debt crisis, and the passion with which he invokes it indicates it’s something he actually and truly believes in.
And it’s utter nonsense. Offensive nonsense too. Obama isn’t truly asking Republicans to put country before party. He is asking them to elevate the interests and ideas of the Democratic party higher than their own ideas, their sense of what is best for the nation, and their deeply held convictions about the moral hazard posed by a too-large government and a populace too reliant on it.
They won’t do it, and they shouldn’t, and the next time liberals complain that conservatives unfairly impugn their patriotism, Obama’s effort to do just that with his loyal ideological opposition should be thrown in their face.

That's much to the delight of Democrats who are working to paint the tea party and the eventual Republican nominee as extreme.
"The tea party isn't a diversion from mainstream Republican thought. It is within mainstream Republican thought," Mitt Romney told a New Hampshire newspaper recently, defending the activists he's done little to woo, until now.
The former Massachusetts governor is starting to court them more aggressively as polls suggest he's being hurt by weak support within the movement, whose members generally favor rivals such as Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Romney's shift is the latest evidence of the big imprint the tea party is leaving on the race.
Such overtures come with risks, given that more Americans are cooling to the tea party's unyielding tactics and bare-bones vision of the federal government.

Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.
In other words, the PC movement only exists as a Trojan Horse to interject crippling, alien beliefs into America. But it does come in to add socialist values into the American ethos.
