Reid: Don't allow Tea Party's 'radical agenda' to block Obama's jobs bill:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Friday morning lashed out at Tea Party Republicans' "radical agenda" and called on moderates to join in passing President Obama's newly introduced jobs plan.

"I urge reasonable Republicans to resist the voices of the Tea Party and others who would oppose this legislation and [instead] root for our economy," said Reid.

"It is sad that they do," added Reid, speaking of the Tea Party's opposition to the plan. "They do it for political reasons."

Reid then implied that the far right in Congress is working to dampen the nation's economy in order to increase their chances in the 2012 presidential election.

"We must not continue to bow to the Tea Party Republicans willing to do anything to hurt the president," continued Reid. "[We] cannot allow their radical agenda to crowd out America's jobs agenda."

President Obama on Thursday night introduced a $447 billion jobs plan that Reid said he hopes to take up in the Senate next week........................
