"Congressman Ron Paul re-emphasized his opposition to the new Super Congress that has been created by the debt deal during an appearance on Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business show last night, labeling the committee a “monstrous creature” that will be used by the Obama administration to advance its regulatory agenda.

Paul voted against the debt ceiling hike because of his belief that the problem of getting out of debt cannot be solved by creating more debt.

“It just digs the hole much deeper and makes it harder for us to get out,” Paul told Dobbs, adding that voting no was a much easier decision to make “when I saw the vehicle they were using to create this Super Congress.”

The Texan Congressman labeled the new committee “montrous,” adding, “I keep and looking and looking and I can’t find any place in the Constitution where we have the authority to create such a creature as the Super Congress.”"
