Our November 2010 prediction that only Ron Paul amongst the roster of likely Republican candidates had a realistic chance of beating Barack Obama in 2012 has been borne out by what the media are describing as a “shock CNN poll” that shows the Texas Congressman leading his GOP rivals in a hypothetical run off against Obama.

Congressman Ron Paul was perhaps the most well-known face next to a field otherwise unseen in 2008. With him were former Senator Rick Santorum, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, businessman and former KC Federal Reserve chair Herman Cain and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson.

ReplyDeleteI had intended to vote for RP, but in Florida my write-in vote for him would not have been counted at all; and RP suggested we go for CB--I did.
RP has annoyed me on a couple things lately, though.
The debate surprised me, I think most Americans would have no trouble voting for any of those we saw last night--I wish they were not Republicans, though...
The "poor" (Libs/marxists) will always be with us regardless what they call themselves...
We have to get away from this bs of the bs two potty system--period--so an independent--true independent--sounds good--i have no problem voting principle over lesser of evils--the numbers are above my pay grade for God to sort out. Constitutionalist, libertarian (small l), etc. is ok w/me.
