It's finally happened. After three years of Americans asking one simple question, he finally answered us.

"Where's the birth certificate?" had been asked by millions of Americans. The request was for information that each member of the public is asked to produce every day for various purposes. Following a USA Today poll, showing that only 38% of the American people believe he was definitely born in the US, Obama felt he had no choice.

When we saw that Obama was unwilling to answer simple concerns addressed by Lakin and many others in uniform we realized there was something not quite right here. Why would a leader not voluntarily release this information to reassure troops that are willing to die for him?

The release of the document appears to have nothing significant on it that was not known earlier. This begs the question of why he took three years to release this information. Already skeptics, including experts in document verification, are saying there is solid evidence the document has been altered.

To resolve this Obama needs to take the additional step to put the issue to rest. He needs to present the original for forensic testing.
We wish this step were not necessary, however, by waiting for three years to release this document, Obama has lost the trust of many of the American people.
Why did he wait so long?

Why did he let hundreds of lawsuits tie up the court system at a cost of millions of dollars? Why did he let a decorated Army officer go to jail if releasing it was that simple? Instead he waits until after he announces his campaign for re-election to release it. Lakin should be immediately pardoned.
