Using publicly available data, it is now possible to identify strangers and gain their personal information – even their Social Security Numbers – by using facial recognition software and social media profiles, according to a new study to be presented tomorrow at the Black Hat Security Conference in Las Vegas.
Professor Alessandro Acquisti from Carnegie Mellon University and his research team studied the implications of the combining, or "mash-up," of three technologies: face recognition, cloud computing (an Internet technology), and social networks.
The team studied the possibility of using publicly available Internet data and commercially available facial recognition software to reveal more information about a person than was intended.

In work that was funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Army Research office, the team noted that Google has acquired Neven Visions, Riya and PittPatt and deployed face recognition into Picasa.

It’s a reflection that they don’t have answers.”

Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano told Fox News August 1 that he thinks the law may be unconstitutional:

“Members of the Senate and members of the House have the opportunity under the Constitution to debate items that are sent to them and to modify items that are sent to them.

To force them to vote just yes or know with no debate, not to follow the rules of the House, which permits amendments, not to follow the rules of the Senate, which permits a filibuster, is such a substantial removal of the authority the Constitution gave them that this legislation is treading in waters that might not be constitutional.”

Rep. David Wu (D-OR), the disgraced congressman who pledged to resign after reports surfaced that he had an "unwanted sexual encounter" with the daughter of a campaign donor.
National Journal reports Wu could draw as much as $891,000 in pension benefits from the federal government. Wu was first elected in 1998.
The report, which surfaced last month, was the latest in a string of scandals for the congressman, who was accused of erratic behavior by staffers during his 2010 reelection campaign.

Wu said he would resign after the debt limit was raised, but has yet to submit a formal letter of resignation.

In the battle forged against the people by elected politicians of both stripes increasing the limit upwards of $2.4 trillion—the largest increase in the debt limit in U.S. history by a margin of half a trillion dollars—writ large in actual records published by the poorly named Government Accountability Office and the Congressional Research Service. In plain words, Barack Hussein Obama who has led the War Games charge against freedom lovers everywhere just got handed the War Chest to pay for it. Many know by now that Obama’s battle cry is the fundamental Transformation of America and that, incredibly, not a single elected politician has asked “Who are YOU to Transform America?

The word “mistake” is now the politically-correct definition of “grievous felonious mortal failure”? Whatever the bum, meaning, of course, our de facto “Scorch America” president, signed into law will be rendered null and void when he is finally hand-and-ankle-shackled, in what is now infamously known as the “LTC Terry Lakin Shuffle,” out of the White House.

Here’s an accounting joke: boss is interviewing for an accountant, calls the first one in to be questioned.  The boss says, “Okay, now tell me, what’s two plus two?” “Why,” the applicant answers, “two!” with a big smile.  The boss calls “Next!” He asks the same question to the next guy, who jumps up, lowers the blinds, goes and locks the door, comes back to the chair, leans over, and whispers, “Whatever you want it to be.”  And that, everyone, is the true story of the birth of the Federal Reserve Bank. 

The American people have been swindled for far too long to endure any more of this bogus “National Debt.”  It doesn’t exist; it’s nothing more than a simple scam to gouge your money out of your pocket. According to The Weekly Standard, Republican sources have confirmed that the likes of Rand Paul, Jim DeMint and other fiscal conservatives will be dismissed as choices for the new super committee partly as a punishment for their failure to back the debt hike and most importantly to prevent any obstacles to the committee passing tax hikes and entitlement cuts.
“Excluding those who vote against the debt deal will ensure that some of the most fiscally conservative members of the Senate Republican caucus, including most of its freshmen, will be reading about the committee’s activities in the newspaper rather than guiding its decisions,” writes Stephen F. Haynes.

“Among those who have already declared their opposition to the deal: libertarian-leaning senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul; Jim DeMint, the aggressive fiscal hawk from South Carolina; conservative reformers Ron Johnson from Wisconsin and Pat Toomey from Pennsylvania; the ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee, Jeff Sessions; and Florida’s Marco Rubio, already one of the highest-profile conservatives in Congress.”

Gun Owners of America chief Larry Pratt warns that the new “Super Congress” created by the debt deal will lead America into dictatorship, labeling the move a “coup d’état” by the political class aimed at transforming the entire structure of government in the United States.
Comparing the super committee to Plato’s council, Pratt pointed out that it would take just 34 Senate votes to sustain a bill put forward by the group, noting that it has been set up specifically to prevent lawmakers getting in the way of its agenda by necessitating a super majority to overturn anything introduced by the committee.
