Laurie Roth is like the kid in the movie ‘Iron Will’ who in 1917 was the total outsider, poor farm kid who entered a prestigious and cross country 522 mile dog sled race for the prize of 10,000. This went from Winnipeg Manitoba to S. Paul Minnesota. Big money, big corruption and big sell outs and coverage were all over this race. Will entered it as a total outsider, to honor his Father who had died in a dog sledding accident. He also entered the race to save their destitute farm from bankruptcy and ruin. His motives were pure, others in the race were not. Gee, it kind of sounds like the Presidential race of 2012 now as the primaries unfold with big money people, sell outs, global elitists and wanna be power brokers.
