Jack T. Ripper Conservatism:

In the movie Dr. Strangelove Brig. Gen. Jack T. Ripper, the wing commander of a nuclear bomb-armed B-52 wing determined that the Communists had infiltrated the U.S. and contaminated "our precious bodily fluids" with fluoride in the water supply.

He was willing to take the country to war, using a loophole called "Wing Attack Plan R" that allowed individual bomb wing commanders to autonomously launch an attack on the Soviet Union, if they felt that the national command structure had been compromised. The Soviets, fearing such an attack during the Cold War, had designed a doomsday device that would blow up the entire world if they were bombed.

Ignoring all consequences, Ripper was so concerned about the purity of essence of the water supply that he illegally launched the attack and destroyed the world in doing so.

Many conservatives are Jack T. Ripper Republicans today. And Mitt Romney is their Doomsday device.
