Mr. Paul won with 37 percent of the vote, while businessman Herman Cain, who has been surging in the polls recently, finished in second with 23 percent. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum finished third with 16 percent.

How would Aristotle classify or describe progressivism?
In his book "The Politics", Aristotle writes about different forms of government, in their upkeep, revolutions, and so forth. I'm going to highlight one particular part of book 5(Part XI), asking a series of questions along with making a couple of observations and let others decide for themselves if it applies.
I also use Saul Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals" as a reference point. It's available online, but I will not link to it. Instead, I recommend you buy it.
If you truely wish to keep your freedom intact, this book is a near must to own. There are other writings which make fair substitutes, such as the STORM manual, but Alinsky's book is the one to have. Regarding the preservation of tyrannies, here's what Aristotle writes:.............

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Republican presidential contender Ron Paul on Wednesday suggested that the United States could assassinate journalists the same way it targeted Americans with ties to al-Qaida.
The Texas congressman again criticized President Barack Obama for approving last week's drone strikes in Yemen against a U.S. citizen who was tracked and executed based on secret intelligence that linked him to two failed terrorist attacks against the U.S. An American-born propagandist also died in the bombing. Escalating his criticism, Paul told a National Press Club luncheon that if citizens do not protest the deaths, the country will start adding reporters to its list of threats that must be taken out.
"Can you imagine being put on a list because you're a threat? What's going to happen when they come to the media? What if the media becomes a threat? ... This is the way this works. It's incrementalism," Paul said.
"It's slipping and sliding, let me tell you."

Doubtless Barack is over his head as president, in every measure of the concept. Whether he employs this as a plan to topple America from greatness—as some claim, or that he is simply an incompetent nincompoop, too selfish and irresponsible to care the damage he does—is now irrelevant.
But it is important to understand that Barack never rose to the challenge of becoming a great leader—as many prophesied of him—or even a competent one. Instead, he simply crumpled to the ground, clutching his knees while morphing into a human fetal fossil, never having grown a metaphorical inch before quitting. Therefore, he really is a person who parachuted into his position—to use Pelosi’s metaphor—who has no natural ability to do anything required for leadership, save read a sandwich board.
Obama has clearly drunk deep of socialist and Marxist philosophy during his life which he admitted to Joe the Plumber and others that he really believes.
If the goal of any self-respecting socialist is to foment revolution in any manner possible to bring about a Marxist state—Who are we to refuse to believe his sincerity when his actions seem to inevitably lead to socialist sabotage over any other possible theory?

The reports are not good, disturbing even. I have heard basically the same story four times in the last 10 days, and the people doing the talking are in New York and Washington and are spread across the political spectrum.
The gist is this: President Obama has become a lone wolf, a stranger to his own government. He talks mostly, and sometimes only, to friend and adviser Valerie Jarrett and to David Axelrod, his political strategist.
Everybody else, including members of his Cabinet, have little face time with him except for brief meetings that serve as photo ops. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner both have complained, according to people who have talked to them, that they are shut out of important decisions.
The president’s workdays are said to end early, often at 4 p.m. He usually has dinner in the family residence with his wife and daughters, then retreats to a private office. One person said he takes a stack of briefing books. Others aren’t sure what he does.
If the reports are accurate, and I believe they are, they paint a picture of an isolated man trapped in a collapsing presidency.

A 65-year-old man flying from California to Hawaii was forced to ditch his plane in the Pacific Ocean on Friday night 13 miles off the coast of Hilo after running out of gas, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The man was flying for delivery a Cessna 310 twin-engine aircraft from Monterey, California, to Hilo when he radioed federal aviation authorities that he was 500 miles out and low on fuel, said Petty Officer 3rd Class Angela Henderson, a spokeswoman for the Coast Guard.

According to the aviation site Airliners.net, Cessna 310 aircraft have a range between 760 to 1955 miles, depending on various factors including cruising altitude, weight, amount of reserve fuel and the specific model.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are under increasing attack for egging on the burgeoning Occupy Wall Street protest that has spread to cities across the country.
Senior Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah said he believes comments Obama made about “running Republicans out of town” could end up turning the protests ugly.
“We are going to have riots in this country because of what these people are doing," he warned.
Hatch said Obama’s words coupled with by Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa’s Labor Day speech in which he called tea party members “sons of bitches” who should be “taken out” could incite violence.
"They are going to get people very angry and sooner or later people who basically are dependent upon the federal government and are about to be cut back, yeah, you are going to have lots of problems," Hatch told reporters in Salt Lake City, one of many places that have seen protests.
Fellow Republican Sen. Rand Paul joined in the attack on the White House, calling Obama’s comments “inflammatory,” and saying the protesters reminded him of the Paris mob during the French Revolution.
“I see the president’s rhetoric of envy inflaming the public,” the Kentucky senator told Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano."(continued)

Gosar also added his name to the short but growing list of those in Congress calling for the attorney general’s immediate resignation.
“It [Holder’s letter] is rhetoric. I think it’s funny that that’s the heat we take now when we’re in the focus of hearings and the focus of calls for his resignation,” Gosar told The Daily Caller.

You know how at the entrance to the security line there’s that agent who makes sure the name on your boarding pass is the same as the one on your photo ID? Apparently that guy’s job is too hard.
According to CNN, the TSA has contracted with three companies to produce machines to “match a traveler’s boarding pass with his or her government-issued ID, while verifying that both documents are authentic.”

PHOENIX - For the first time since Congressional hearings into the ATF's controversial Fast and Furious case started, Arizona sheriffs on both sides of the political aisle are joining forces.
Six sheriffs from Pinal, Cochise, LaPaz, Mohave, Greenlee, and Yavapai counties spoke outside of the Arizona capitol building Friday, saying they feel betrayed by the federal government and the way the Fast and Furious case was handled.
"If there is anything the President should apologize for, it's this," said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, a Republican. He also said Attorney General Eric Holder should resign or be fired.
Although Republican Congressional leaders have been leading the investigations into the Department of Justice, Babeu said the dissatisfaction with the Fast and Furious case is not a partisan issue.
"This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is a public safety issue," he said.

In recent years the SWCBD has received tens of millions of dollars (as has many others) from numerous entities including the American government to further their radical agendas. Among the current staff are former Earth First activist Keiran Suckling, Peter Galvin, Bill Haskins and Todd Schulke. While the Center’s staff has neither been charged nor convicted of any terrorism their beginning was somewhat controversial and circumspect.

Progressive TV and radio star Thom Hartmann took time off from covering Van Jones and his “Rebuild the Dream” movement on Wednesday to briefly talk to this columnist about his relationship with the Vladimir Putin regime of Russia. The conversation quickly went sour when Hartmann objected to questions about how much he is being paid by Moscow. He grabbed my video camera, covering the lens briefly in the process, and stomped away, objecting to “gotcha” questions.
The entire spectacle was captured on camera and posted on YouTube.
During another embarrassing incident, Van Jones refused to sign a copy of his Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM) manifesto when asked to autograph it.
“No thank you,” he sternly said before asking, “Who are you?,” looking at my name badge, and walking away to the next adoring crowd of Van Jones groupies. Jones, a “former” communist, is the new face of the progressive movement that is backing the “Occupation Wall Street” protests and is trying to guarantee President Obama a second term.
He was fired as Obama’s “green jobs czar” when the truth about his extremist background and statements started to emerge in reports originally by blogger Trevor Loudon and then Glenn Beck on Fox News.
