Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts and signed into law a statewide health care purchase mandate. But is it a real law if it violates the U.S. or Massachusetts Constitutions?

(Oct. 12, 2011) — Over one year ago, a Republican chairman from a major state told a constituent that the Party leadership had already been decided that Mitt Romney would be their nominee for President in 2012.

Just like it was McCain’s “turn” in 2008, it is Romney’s turn in 2012, and pending unforeseen circumstances, expect Mitt to get the nod.

The Republican leadership will also vigorously oppose any Republican “outsider” or Tea Party candidate with the same vitriol and dirty tricks as rabid Obama supporters, albeit done haughtily and deviously behind the scenes.

The Republican Party no longer believes in elections and does not trust the American people.....

..... Our Secretary of State was certainly used as an important cog in the wheel of destruction aimed at our Constitutional rights. When she stood in Mexico City with her Mexican counterpart and accused Americans of being behind all of the escalating gun violence, what did she really know?

Was she actually ignorant of the facts of the ongoing Obama/Holder attack on American citizens and their Second Amendment Rights? Was she used by Obama/Holder to make what everyone now knows were extraordinarily misleading statements to the Main Stream Media, the Mexican Government, and the American people?

Or was she an active, willing participant in this outrageous scheme, and the deaths or injuries of countless Mexican citizens and the death of American Border Agent Brian Terry?

I am grateful to Representative Issa for his search for the truth in this matter at the ATF and the Justice Department, but I feel he needs to widen his scope. What information was disseminated from the ATF and Justice Department to the State Department concerning weapons crossing the border?

I disagree with most of what Hillary Clinton represents, and I’m diametrically opposed to her political philosophy. That said, I do not think she is a stupid woman!.....

Establishment favorite and former Federal Reserve insider Herman Cain brazenly lied during last night’s Republican debate when he denied that he had opposed an audit of the Fed, a claim that was proven false within hours by Ron Paul’s campaign team.

Pointing out that the majority of Americans want to see a full audit of the Federal Reserve, Congressman Ron Paul asked Cain if he stood by his position that it would be frivolous to audit the Fed on a regular basis, as well as his characterization of those who are calling for such measures as ignorant.

Cain responded by claiming he never dismissed Ron Paul or his supporters as “ignorant” for asking about the Federal Reserve, and that the error was down to Paul believing what he read on the Internet. 

Technically Cain is correct, because he didn’t call Ron Paul supporters “ignorant,” worse still, in his own book Cain dismissed them as “stupid” and ludicrously suggested that the Paul campaign was deliberately sending out supporters to harass Cain with questions about the Federal Reserve.

There was overwhelming opposition to Bush's Billionaire Bailout, but the will of the pols trumped the will of the people. The same was true – and still is – about Obamacare, but the obedient servants of Mammon imposed it against the people's will......

retired officer in the US army has apologized to the German army for the mass deaths of German prisoners in US army camps after World War Two. Following extensive private investigations in the US and Germany, Merrit P. Drucker (retired) has sent an e-mail to Lt. Col. Max Klaar, Bundeswehr (retired), head of the Verband der deutscher Soldaten (German Veterans’ Association), regretting the lethal conditions in the US camps where some 750,000 Germans died while they were denied available food and shelter.

Drucker has also formed a committee of six people, in Germany, the UK, Canada and the US to pursue further investigations and make amends by way of apologies to the families of the dead, and veterans’ institutions.

Drucker’s first e-mail letter has been posted on the veterans’ website where there is also a questionnaire asking for details of prisoners’ internment.......

Mitt Romney and Barack Obama never met to discuss the federal health care law, but Romney's advisers did. New records reviewed by NBC News's Michael Isikoff point out that "White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three health-care advisers and experts who helped shape the health care reform law signed by Romney in 2006." One meeting, NBC News reports, "was in the Oval Office and presided over by Barack Obama."

Jon Gruber, one of the advisers who attended the Obama meeting, said that the White House "really wanted to know how we can take that same approach we used in Massachusetts and turn that into a national model."

Especially in light of Perry's recent "Romney Remedy" ad, Romney is distancing himself from Gruber like an embarrassing ex, as aides have tried to suggest Gruber wasn't a really an adviser to Romney. However, as Isikoff writes, Gruber was "personally recognized by Romney when the governor signed the health-care bill into law" as well as "appointed by Romney as a board member to the Connector Authority." Gruber himself has a few, possibly damaging, words for Romney:

In pre-election spin, Dreams of My Father easily could have been a fabricated fairytale of Barack’s birth.

According to the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution, Americans are never to be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. The Constitution is not some aspirational statement of values, allowing exceptions when convenient, but rather, it is the law of the land. Last week’s assassination of two American citizens, Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, is an outrage and a criminal act carried out by the President and his administration. Didn’t we just bomb Libya into oblivion under the auspices of protecting the civilians from being targeted by their government? Timothy McVeigh was certainly a threat, as were Nidal Hassan and Jared Lee Loughner. They killed people in front of many witnesses. They took up arms against their government in a literal way, yet were still afforded trials. These constitutional protections are in place because our Founders realized it is a very serious matter to deprive any individual of life or liberty. Our outrage against even the obviously guilty is not worth the sacrifice of the rule of law. Al-Awlaki has been outspoken against the United States and we are told he encouraged violence against Americans. We do not know that he actually committed any acts of violence. Ironically, he was once invited to the Pentagon as part of an outreach to moderate Muslims after 9/11. As the US attacks against Muslims in the Middle East and Central Asia expanded, it is said that he became more fervent and radical in his opposition to US foreign policy.....

According to Reuters, "targeting recommendations are drawn up by a committee of mid-level National Security Council and agency officials. Their recommendations are then sent to the panel of NSC 'principals,' meaning Cabinet secretaries and intelligence unit chiefs, for approval."

A "former official" told Hosenball that "one of the reasons for making senior officials principally responsible for nominating Americans for the target list was to 'protect' the president," i.e., provide Obama legal cover under the thin veneer afforded by "plausible deniability.".............

I'm just wondering that, if things were about to hit the fan, could he temporarily request to not be watched by the secret service, so he could sneak away and flee to a country without an extradition treaty?
