Bill O'Reilly goes too far investigating his wife's policeman boyfriend?:
Bill O’Reilly’s wife has moved out of their home and according to Gawker, he may even be divorced already.
O’Reilly’s wife is reportedly romantically involved with a member of the Nassau Police Department, the town in which the O’Reilly’s reside.
It’s alleged that O’Reilly used his fame and money to get the police department’s internal affairs to do an investigation into this policeman.
Gawker reports that, O’Reilly suspected his wife of having a relationship last year with a police detective in his town of Nassau and he used his influence to have the man investigated by his own police department’s internal affairs.
Accusations from Gawker suggest that O’Reilly was due to give a massive donation to the Nassau County Police Department to build a training center around the time this favor was asked and this may be the reason his request was granted.
The man being investigated was not married and if he was having a relationship with O’Reilly’s wife, this would not have been an offense as a policeman or something internal affairs would normally investigate.

President Barack Obama used his weekly radio address to engage in some political gamesmanship while calling for an end to political gamesmanship.
Desperate to look like he's doing anything in light of yesterday's horrendous jobs report, the president used this morning's speech to once again claim there is a crisis looming and the Surface Transportation Bill will be allowed to expire putting 1 million workers in danger of losing their jobs if Congress fails to act. But the deadline for extension is weeks away and work on it is already well underway.

The city council of Lexington, Virginia, decided by majority vote to allow only the Virginia, U.S. and city flags to be displayed on city streets. Although personal rights to own and display the Confederate flag were not limited in any way, members of a Confederate legacy group held a protest to uphold the city’s tradition of displaying the flag.
"These are the things that make Lexington what it is," Lexington resident Mimi Knight told the Associated Press. "The Confederate flag is part of our heritage."

Right now, the people in charge of the government remind us every day that they are the Party of Lincoln. They've stretched Lincoln's philosophy to say that not only should we wage war within our own country ostensibly for democracy, as Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address, but we should wage war all around the world to force democracy on people, whether they want it or not. Not just in Iraq.
They're talking about invading the entire Middle East, for starters, to bring democracy there, as though it were any of our business.
That is empire. Any country that has had a big empire like that has always been bankrupted. If that's the road we're going on, I think it's the road that Lincoln started us on.
Look at what the same government did. Immediately after the War, they commenced a campaign of ethnic genocide against the Plains Indians. That was all part of this plan to have a continental empire.
Now, these people think we need to have a world empire. It's un-American. The Founding Fathers would have fought another revolution over this.

Many thought he should remain on the job in these critical times for America, but he has shown that he can do as much damage when on vacation as he can while at his desk in Washington. The man is just a complete and total loss for executive leadership and steering our ship of state.
How much more damage control will be needed during these count-down months ahead until we can finally stop him dead in his tracks on November 06, 2012? How many more sneaky and devastating tricks of administrative deviousness like Executive Orders to further undermine our Constitution does he have up his sleeve?
The minute he is gone some worthy soul in Congress should propose the diminution of authority that can be wielded with Executive Orders so as to protect us from another power mad simpleton in the class of Kim Il Jong or Obama.
Those documents should be totally restricted to administrative and procedural commands not affecting operations or finances of the country. They should never be used to pre-empt or side-step an established law or Constitutional authority. Recess appointments should be banned also.................

“It’s the sun, stupid.” This was the excited conclusion many readers drew from a recent much-read blogpost of mine about the latest results from the CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland.
The story concerned a major experiment called CLOUD (Cosmics Leaving Outdoor Droplets) and seemed to confirm everything that the world’s growing band of “skeptics” would dearly love to hear: that the sun, not man-made CO2 is by far the most important factor in “Climate Change.”
Actually, though, the story’s more complicated than that. And, in many ways, more interesting. Yes, the experiment did lend encouraging credence to the theory by the Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark that solar radiation may play a significant role in seeding the clouds which warm (and cool) the planet. But what it didn’t do was prove anything except that this is a promising area and that more research needs to be done.
What it did do very much to confirm, though, was the extreme establishment bias which has corrupted and debased the whole debate about Anthropogenic Global Warming.
The real story lay, not in the experiment’s tentative findings, but in the insistence by CERN’s own Director General Rolf-Dieter Heuer, that it wasn’t a story...............

White House press secretary Jay Carney tells ABC News a “bad weather call” was made before the President and his younger daughter Sasha even boarded the aircraft. Carney says they have now arrived safely at Camp David. It remains unexplained why the President would be allowed to board Marine One knowing that the landing site on the mountain was experiencing weather making a landing difficult. The press first learned of the diversion when wire agency still photographers, who traditionally stand by at Camp David for news coverage in case of an emergency, were told by the military at the mountain top Marine base that the President would be motorcading.
The White House press office did not inform the daily travel pool which remains at the White House and does not make the helicopter trip to Camp David. The pool does accompany any bad weather motorcade to the retreat.

Carney apparently was speaking in reference to when the president first learned of his uncle's arrest. Carney did not say whether the president knew his uncle was in the United States illegally.
