(Aug. 16, 2011) — On August 15, 2011, The Post & Email published an article regarding an Air Force Staff Sergeant who stated that he had stopped carrying out orders from his chain of command because he considers Obama, the putative president and commander-in-chief, to be a criminal.

We had asked SSgt Moran about his first name, as someone stating many of the same details had been identified differently in a WorldNetDaily article on July 26, 2011.

A reader of The Post & Email had contacted us stating that Moran had given his name as “James Daryn Moran” in his interview with Dr. James David Manning. We had identified him as “Daryn Moran” in yesterday’s article according to his email identification and the way in which he had had typed his name."

"I have it from a very good source that virtually all the people involved in Ron's Iowa campaign, and who had worked for other candidates in previous straw polls, believe that Ron actually won, but the GOP establishment fixed the results to give it to the warmonger Bachmann.

To the extent the media suspected this, they cheered. I'll tell you the strangest thing I noticed about the pool. I watched the poll results announce live on CNN.

This is the way it went down. A GOP official steps onto the podium and says: Michelle Bachmann has won the Iowa straw poll. (Aug. 15, 2011) — Having had some rather intense inline correspondence with conservatives in recent days who were basically attacking Ron Paul as a kook, wanting the federal government to perform actions that they think is important, regardless of the constitutionality, and having the federal government control the actions of the states.

My only retort to them was to follow the Constitution, and to which, of course, I was told I just don’t understand the Constitution.

So, to simplify and declare my understanding and my position regarding the Constitution, here goes:

1. Representatives of the states wrote the Constitution, and with that document created the federal government.

2. The states are thus sovereign over the federal government – it is their offspring.

3. The federal government charter (the Constitution) lists exactly what the three branches of the federal government are supposed to do for the states in the realm of responsibility and shared sovereignty."

"One of the hallmarks of the Clover Mind is acceptance as an article of faith that most people are too dumb to do that which is in their self-interest without the prod of “the law.”

Vehicle safety inspections are a case in point. Many states require you to waste an hour or more (in some cases a lot more) of your time every year – for every vehicle you own – waiting in line to have the vehicle given a once-over at an Officially Authorized service station. In return for your time (and money) you get an ugly little sticker for the windshield, your permission slip (well, one of them) to continue operating the vehicle.

The argument, as presented by Clovers, is that people would never check their brakes, or drive around on bald tires, were it not for these annual safety inspections. In other words, people (in the Clovers’ worldview) are just too dumb to keep track of such things for themselves. And in a way, they’re right. But not for the reasons they think.

Cloverism breeds Clovers.

That is, the taking away of personal responsibility by “for your own good” laws tends to breed people (Clovers) increasingly incapable of exercising either personal initiative or personal responsibility. Instead, they Wait to be Told What to Do."

Anyway, Braco. On the north shore of Lake Chapala, an hour south of Guadalajara, lies Ajijic, which is a town. In Ajijic frequently are Violeta and I, usually in El Camaleon, a bar belonging to Braco the Bar Dog and his partner, Fito Villa.

Braco is or appears to be a Weimaraner, a breed which my father described as “those purple dogs with yellow eyes,” and is the size of a small horse. Braco is a good-natured beast, which is well because he"......................
