"In honor of July 4 – the lingering spirit of it, if not the actuality – I decided to publish a “letter to Clover” as a way to show how anti-freedom people think. Maybe “think” is not the exactly right term to use to describe the mental processes of a Clover.
It’s more a combination of primitive emoting and intellectual incapacity – in particular, an incapacity to think in terms of concepts and principles. The Clover sees something he doesn’t like, and reflexively emotes: “There ought to be a law!” He does not grasp the broader implications of “the law” he wants to see enacted – or he just doesn’t care, because he believes it will further some greater good – as he defines it. Dissecting the Cloverite Mentality is interesting in terms of understanding just what pro-freedom people are up against.
The “letter” that follows was written in response to this missive I received from a Clover in response to my column criticizing random roadblocks:"

Turns out, you’re not imagining it.
Yellow intervals have been shortened at traffic lights in many areas around the country, courtesy of the government officials responsible for writing national transportation guidelines. Some signals stay yellow only about 70 percent as long as they did 15 years ago. And here’s a curious thing: The change in signal timing intervals coincides with the much-discussed rise in the incidence of red light-running.
Put another way, more people are getting caught in the middle of an intersection after the light has changed from yellow to red. Is it a coincidence that decreased yellow timing and “red light running” track together?
Certainly, there are people who deliberately run red lights – irrespective of the yellow interval. These are the jerks who enter an intersection when the light is already red. But the majority are people who entered the intersection when the light was still yellow – but didn’t get through before it cycled to red. Many probably decided that they could not come to a stop safely (and without risking being rear-ended by the car behind them) before the light transitioned from yellow to red."

In the late fifties when I became more aware of what my mother and father was telling their children and into the early sixties, they told us of a man. In those days, I suppose many parents felt a need to explain what us youngsters might see and wonder about�€”things they worried might cause us to be confused. One early explanation I recall was that of a lone figure who walked (forced marched) up and down the winding road to Lookout Mountain in Gadsden, Alabama.
He was in his world. He was not in ours that we could tell. Passing him by going down or traveling up toward home, we would see him regularly in those days and at nine or ten years old, one feels sorry that he was doing that. I felt sorry that he was alone. I worried that he was marching on the narrow shoulder of three-lane asphalt, the third lane alternating up and down, depending on the curve for traffic to pass slower vehicles either way. There he was and he was calling commands. Commands none of us could hear from inside the family�€™s station wagon, but I knew what they were. I had watched many war films and somehow knew what he was doing and asked my mother about him."

The US president appears to have embarked on a deliberate strategy to embrace radical Islam by partnering with Islamic organizations calling for the demise of the United States, and by assigning Islamists to key strategic positions that oversee the security of the nation, aspects of the judiciary, and as intimate aides to high level administration appointees. The Administration’s public position is that these relationships are in the best interest of the United States in promoting tolerance in America and democracy in the Middle East.
reality, they raise poignant and unthinkable questions as to whether this president has violated his oath of office and several U.S. laws by facilitating an Islamic takeover of America.
One need look no further than the Administration’s embracing of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and high level appointments of Muslims who are directly associated with the MB or have ties to organizations associated with the MB. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s top aid since 1996 is Huma Abedin. Former Palestinian terrorist now converted Christian Walid Shoebat says that Abedin was never properly screened."
