The last person President Barack Obama might expect support from is controversial Fox News host Glenn Beck. The presenter seemed to give his backing to the President against heavy criticism by Donald Trump who has questioned whether he was born in America and that he may be a Muslim. But Beck's warning that Trump's remarks are making him 'a little uncomfortable recently' may have more to do with Fox News announcing the billionaire will be given a regular slot on the station, while the host's show may be scrapped.

He was speaking on the channel's The O'Reilly Factor show on Friday, where he discussed Trump's two-part interview earlier in the week. Trump, who is considering whether to throw his hat into the ring to become Republican nominee for President at the 2012 election, said Obama 'doesn't have a birth certificate'. He went on: 'Now, he may have one but there is something on that birth certificate — maybe religion, maybe it says he's a Muslim, I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want that. Or, he may not have one.' Beck told Bill O'Reilly 'There is something reasonable to, you know, a reasonable conversation if you don't believe that he has a birth certificate.

'You can say, "I don't believe he has a birth certificate." But then he goes into "I do not believe he has a birth certificate" and then he releases one that's worse than Obama's. 'And then he comes back and he says on your program, "He might be a Muslim too." I'm like, come on!'

After Trump made his allegations about the President – who is Christian and was born in Honolulu, Hawaii – he released a certificate of his own....

(Apr. 3, 2011) — It has been reported that the image of Obama's purported Certification of Live Birth has been removed or is otherwise unavailable from the website of Factcheck.org as of April 3, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The image still appears on Obama's "Fight the Smears" website from 2008.  Under the image there is a submission with Factcheck's logo which reads:

When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom's dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.'s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.

Donald Trump may not be an officially declared candidate, but he is already playing an important role in the run up to the 2012 election. Here's why he may play a key role in the proceedings.

I've never been a real fan of Donald Trump. He always impressed me as more of a showman than anything else, and I've never had much admiration for anyone who made a spectacle of himself. But in the right time and place, Donald Trump, bad hair and all can be an asset. Now may be that time and place.

Don't take this as some kind of endorsement of Trump as a presidential candidate. I have some serious reservations about whether or not he may be able to function in the White House. After all, his personality might find it extremely difficult to handle situations where he can't carry the day by telling anyone in earshot "You're Fired!" There are other concerns on a policy level, but this writing is not directed toward them. There will be plenty of time to go there if he becomes a serious candidate.

In the mean while, what is more important is what a Donald Trump candidacy can bring to the election and to the Republican Party. There are, at bottom line, three things that present a problem on the current electoral scene:

Democratic lawmakers have revived a plan to require state schools to teach about the contributions of gay, lesbian and transgender Americans. They are reigniting a movement that halted five years ago when legislators approved such a requirement only to run into opposition from then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Now, with a Democrat in the governor's office, the lawmakers and gay rights activists are more hopeful that school curricula will be revised.

There were two differing plans submitted to the Constitutional Convention dealing with what sort of government the convention would give us.

One was what was called the New Jersey Plan. According to Mike Crane: "On June 15, Mr. Patterson, a delegate from New Jersey submitted the New Jersey Plan. It was a federated form of government based upon what the Convention had been chartered to do. To propose amendments that would address the weaknesses which all agreed existed in the Articles of Confederation. It delegated specific, expressed powers to the central government ONLY!" 


At this point, another plan was also submitted, the Virginia Plan. Mike has observed of this plan that "It was a plan for a national or consolidated government. A motion was made to lay this plan aside and instead work toward an effective government, rather than a national government. This motion to lay aside failed by a tie vote of 4-4.

Great video. During a phone interview with Donald Trump, about Obama's birth certificate, Savannah Guthrie, questions if Obama's birth certificate is even worth talking about, and then suggested that Trump could/should downplay the issue. She actually said, "You could brace this issue...", but, Trump interrupts saying, "I am embracing the issue...". Later Trump stated, "it's not that much of a conspriacy, it's very simple", but, Chuck Todd, the Chief White House Correspondent for NBC News, exclaimed, "It's An Incredible Conspriacy".

In a stunning and unexpected turn of events, Judge Richard Goldstone has essentially reversed himself on the findings of the Goldstone Report. He does, of course, qualify his remarks to make it appear that he has not reversed himself. What he does, in effect, is to say that if only Israel had cooperated with his investigation from the start, he would not have reached the incorrect conclusions of the now famous and highly influential report. Israel, of course, had quite good reasons to distrust Goldstone, as his report did major damage. But one would rather have Judge Goldstone now blame Israel for his original damaging conclusions than to have him blame Israel for intentionally being the major human rights violator in the Middle East......................................

WASHINGTON – In a city that loves to argue over what next to add to the government's already fat rulebook, there's a big push to rethink what's already there.

All across town, agencies are holding hearings, scouring specs, setting up websites and assembling plans to carry out President Barack Obama's order for a "retrospective review" of decade upon decade of government regulations.

The hunt is on for rules that are — to pull a few words from the order itself — excessively burdensome, redundant, inconsistent, overlapping, outmoded, ineffective, insufficient. Or, as the president put it, "just plain dumb."

Regulations translate laws into action, and touch all aspects of American life.

There are rules on how to keep water clean and how much water should be used to flush a toilet; for how much gas cars can guzzle, and — under one now in the works — for rear-view cameras or sensors to keep drivers from backing over toddlers; for how to build commercial airplanes — right down to their nuts and bolts — and for how to launch amateur model rockets.

Obama's pledge to put the federal rulebook under a microscope has conservatives clamoring for him to rip up pages of red tape, yet skeptical he will deliver. Liberals increasingly worry that the Obama administration will bow to political pressure and weaken or scrap important health, safety and environmental protections.

The notion that there are reams of "dumb" rules ripe for the taking is rejected by experts on federal regulation. They say any easy targets already were eliminated by past administrations that made their own runs at over-regulation.

Geraldine Ferraro, the U.S.'s first ever female vice presidential candidate died recently, aged 75.

A leftist Democrat, Ferraro got her position, the same way many other senior Dems did - with the help of Marxists.

It is a central theme of this blog that Barack Obama was promoted to the U.S. presidency, by an alliance of several Marxist groups including Democratic Socialists of America.

While this sounds far-fetched to some, there is nothing new about socialists working inside the Democratic Party to put "their" candidates into very high positions.

The late Millie Jeffrey was a leader in United Auto Workers and a high ranking Democrat in Michigan and on the national stage for decades.

In 2000 President Bill Clinton presented Millie Jeffrey, with the nation's highest civilian honor bestowed by the U.S. Government, the Presidential Medal Of Freedom, with the citation stating that those awarded "have helped America to achieve freedom."

In the 1950 and 60s, Jeffrey was a Democratic Party National committeewoman from Michigan. In 1960, she helped campaign for John F. Kennedy, as a member of the Democratic National Committee.

After mobilizing the Michigan Democratic Party behind JFK in 1960, she then reportedly pushed JFK to initiate the Peace Corps.

Millie Jeffrey quit the DNC in the late 60s to protest the Vietnam War and to work for Robert Kennedy.

Less publicized were the facts that Millie Jeffrey was also a long time leader of Democratic Socialists of America, a "midwife" to the radical Students for a Democratic Society and a veteran of the communist infiltrated Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.

Jeffrey also traveled to the Soviet Union in 1969 and to the Peoples Republic of China in 1974.

According to Democratic Socialists of America member and prominent journalist Harold Meyerson, Millie Jeffrey was an influential power broker inside the Democratic Party.

When Jack Kevorkian advocated harvesting organs from assisted suicide victims in his 1991 book Prescription Medicide, people were appalled.  What could be more dangerous than giving depressed people with severe disabilities the idea that their deaths would have greater societal value than their lives?  Then, when he actually acted on his beliefs, stripping the kidneys of Joseph Tushkowski, a quadriplegic ex police officer Kevorkian assisted in suicide, offering them at a press conference, "first come, first served," people were stunned.  Who could be so ghoulish? Government tax revenues are way down in California, so the government is getting "creative".
The California Highway Patrol is handing out more traffic citations than it did a few years ago, and that has generated tens of millions of dollars in new revenue for state and local government, reports the Sacramento Bee.
A lawyer friend tells me some of the revenue raising moves are quite slick. In California, in the old days, it cost you $115.00 to incorporate. You could file with the state and get your papers in some cases within 2 hours, but it never took more than a week.
Now it takes five weeks. The lawyer tells me that the clerks now take in the incorporation applications and put them on a pile and don't look at them for four weeks. He says the clerks can be sitting there doing nothing, but a new application goes on the pile. If you need 24 hour turnaround, you can still get it but it costs an additional $350 over the basic $115.00 filing fee.
He says he sees many of these slick money generating moves by the state that don't catch the immediate attention of the public.

It has by now become glaringly apparent to all but the most obtuse or thoroughly indoctrinated among us that a majority of the members of the mainstream media (I call them cockroach media, but we'll come back to that later) are socialists in outlook and practice. As Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote in an article for Pajamas Media on August 28, 2010, "We now know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that our formerly august mainstream media is replete with socialists."

Well, excuse me. Not at all to diss Kyle-Anne, who does good work, but that information has been around for a long time and has been readily available to anyone who cares to look.

In the interest of clarity, though, let's not use the word "socialists," a term that has become somewhat socially acceptable in certain quarters and to that extent masks the radicalism of their ideas. Socialists are Marxists, so let's call them what they are: Marxists.

How did the mainstream media get to be the way they are? To find the answer, let's turn to an old source.

A long-delayed film about Chinese invaders taking over the U.S. to help "fix" America's broken economy has undergone a digital makeover, removing the allusions to China in fear, some report, of offending the Asian nation's $1.5-billion box office.
As WND reported, the movie was expected to be a hard-core remake of the original communism-bashing "Red Dawn" of two decades back – where Lea Thompson, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze staged a shoot-'em-up against invading Russians in the Colorado mountains – only this time, with Chinese invaders instead.
But now, several Hollywood sources report, the filmmakers at MGM have hired digital artists to change all the film's Chinese flags and symbols … to North Korean.

OK, so I gave in and downloaded it to a test machine (not this one for testing).

Seems to be MUCH faster. Not sure I like the layout. Kinda wish they had allowed us to fit the version 4 code into the version 3.x gui...

Comments? Tricks? Anybody find any nuggets here?

This week's Quinnipiac University national poll should be a devastating reading for the White House, against a background of mounting confusion over Libya, paralysis in the face of a massive national debt, economic problems and a possible shutdown of Congress. Obama is now at the LOWEST approval level of his presidency, with his weakest reelect score ever. Obama receives strong negativity ratings for his handling of virtually all key issues, including the economy, budget deficit, health care, foreign policy and energy policy. Other polls, including Rasmussen and RealClearPolitics, confirm this. At the core of the presidency's declining fortunes is Obama's lack of leadership, both at home and abroad. Libya has reinforced the impression of a White House adrift in a sea of confusion.

Donald Trump will announce in June whether he plans on being a contender for the presidency in the Republican primaries later this year. For several reasons, my excitement over the prospects of a Trump candidacy is mounting.

Let me say first, that in a perfect world, the very idea of a man like Trump running for the presidency, on either party's ticket, would be unthinkable. This isn't to suggest that Trump is a bad man, but only that he has no experience in the art of governing. It is a common misconception among many on the right that success in business is likely to translate into success in politics. Not only does this assumption ignore the fact that the frameworks of incentives and constraints within which politicians and free enterprisers respectively operate are by and large mutually antagonistic; it ignores as well the fact that success in business could just as easily portend political failure.

Any business is an enterprise. An enterprise is defined by the goals toward which it is oriented, the goals toward the realization of which each of its members is expected to contribute. Now, obviously, the enterprises that constitute a "system" of "free enterprise" are not compulsory organizations. However, a state is indeed such an organization. It is a mistake of the first order, then, to confuse government with a private employer and citizens with employees.

Free citizens must be free to determine enterprises of their own choosing -- not those that the government decides to impose upon them. And what this in turn implies is that a government belonging to citizens, not subjects, free men and women, not servants and/or slaves, simply cannot be patterned on a business or enterprise model, for it exists for no other reason than to facilitate peaceful and orderly co-existence between individuals engaged in all manner of self-chosen pursuits.......................

During our formative years in ministry, few people more profoundly influenced our theology and practical Christianity than pastor and theologian Dr. Robert Cornwall. Bob—or simply "Cornwall," as his friends knew him—had a photographic memory, and in order to pay his way through Bible college as a young man, he had gotten a job proofreading books for a publisher of scholarly works. As a result of maintaining this job for years and having an uncanny propensity for recalling facts, Cornwall retained the majority of material he read and became one of the most well informed and brilliant thinkers we ever had the privilege of knowing or being mentored under. Cornwall was also a great storyteller and could thrill audiences at churches and in conferences by weaving details of true-life events with deep theological propositions.
A particular story that raised profound spiritual-warfare implications revolved around one of the first churches he pastored as a young minister in a sleepy little town near the Oregon coast. As described by Cornwall himself at Redwood Family Camp meeting in the 1970s, he had barely settled into leadership at the church when strange things began to happen for which he had no explanation. Objects in the building seemed to move around on their own, especially overnight when the building was supposed to be unoccupied. He would hear the piano playing and go into the sanctuary to find nobody there. Doors would slam, pews would be discovered positioned backward against the wall, and his notes would disappear—then reappear.
Members of the church reported similar phenomena, and Cornwall eventually learned that the activity had been going on for years.One night, hours after he had gone home to bed, Cornwall's telephone rang and the police chief was on the other end of the line. He wanted to know what kind of party Cornwall was sponsoring at the church."What do you mean, a party?" Cornwall asked."Neighbors are calling. They say it's so loud they can't sleep. We thought maybe the youth group was having an overnight event that was getting out of hand."
